Title: Control device and control method for cam driving type electronic control unit injector

Abstract: The present invention is a control device and a control method for a cam driving type electronic control unit injector, in which driving force transmitting parts do not separate from a cam even when a high injection pressure is used. For this purpose, the control device includes a feed and pressure passage (18) for providing communication between an oil reservoir (16a) and a plunger chamber (11c), a valve (13) for opening and closing the feed and pressure passage (18), a first solenoid (14) for moving the valve (13) during an injection stroke to close the feed and pressure passage (18) to raise a pressure in the plunger chamber (11c), a spring (15) for pressing the valve (13) to open the feed and pressure passage (18), and a control means (20) for supplying a smaller current than that when the valve (13) is moving during the aforesaid injection stroke, through the first solenoid (14) for a predetermined period (AV2) after the lapse of a predetermined period of time (T2) immediately after completion of main injection to move the valve (13) in a closing direction of the feed and pressure passage (18) to thereby output a command for raising the pressure in the plunger chamber (11c).
