Title: Optical transmitter/receiver apparatus, method for fabricating the same andoptical semiconductor module

Abstract: The optical transmitter/receiver apparatus of the invention includes: anoptical fiber for transmitting/receiving an optical signal therethrough;and a first base including mutually spaced optical signal transmitting andreceiving regions and a fiber end supporting region located between theoptical signal transmitting and receiving regions. A semiconductor laserdevice for emitting the optical signal to be transmitted is secured to theoptical signal transmitting region of the first base. A fiber endsupporting portion for supporting one end of the optical fiber, to whichthe optical signal emitted from the semiconductor laser device isincident, is formed in the fiber end supporting region of the first base.A second base for supporting the body of the optical fiber is secured tothe optical signal receiving region of the first base. A reflective filterfor transmitting the optical signal to be transmitted, emitted from thesemiconductor laser device, and for reflecting the optical signal to bereceived, incident through the other end of the optical fiber, issupported by being inserted into the second base and the body of theoptical fiber. A light-receiving device for receiving the optical signalto be received, reflected by the reflective filter, is secured to thesecond base.
