Abstract: To arrange an electronic instant lottery, a plurality of electronic instantlots (510) is generated (401, 605) and stored (402, 406, 606), each ofwhich comprises prize data which is encrypted and can be decrypted with alot-specific key. The keys (511) with which the encrypted prize data ofthe stored electronic instant lots can be decrypted are stored (403, 405)separately from the stored electronic instant lots. A given player (404)is provided with access to the stored electronic instant lots such that,by paying a given fee, the player acquires a given electronic instant lot.The player is also provided with access to the stored keys such that, bypresenting a proof of his possession of a given electronic instant lot,the player acquires the key corresponding to this particular electronicinstant lot.
