Title: Method for operating an internal combustion engine

Abstract: In an internal combustion engine, combustion air is supplied to at least one combustion chamber via at least one intake duct. The intake duct includes at least two parallel control sections, to each of which one final controlling device is allocated. Using these final controlling devices, the flow cross-section of the particular control section may be influenced. At least two final controlling devices are activated based on one single setpoint variable, and, in fact, using only one control and/or regulating system associated with the intake duct.
