Title: Polarized light emitting source with an electro-optical addressing architecture

Abstract: A light source device, system and method of operating and viewing a polarized light source device. The light source device comprising a support substrate, a plurality of light emitting asymmetrical light emitting resonators placed in a matrix on the support substrate forming a plurality of rows and columns of the asymmetrical light emitting resonators, a plurality of light waveguides positioned on the substrate such that each of the asymmetrical light emitting resonators is associated with an electro-coupling region with respect with to one of the plurality of light waveguides, a deflection mechanism for causing relative movement between a portion of at least one of the plurality of light waveguides and the associated asymmetrical light emitting resonator so as to control when the asymmetrical light emitting resonator is in the electro-coupling region, and a light source associated with each of the plurality of light waveguides for transmitting a light along the plurality of light waveguides for selectively activating each of the asymmetrical light emitting resonators when positioned within the electro-coupling region. A viewing device is provided for viewing the polarized light display.
